Štrbské Pleso: A Jewel in the High Tatras

Štrbské Pleso, one of the most visited places in the High Tatras, is considered the highest settlement in the Tatra Mountains and is the starting point of many hiking trails. The lake itself is the second largest in the Tatras, and i tis unique due to the tradition of rowing. It has been preserved here for over 130 years. Rowing trips on the lake is especially popular during the summer months until autumn, until the weather enables it.

This unique wonder of nature has even been nominated for the title of “the seventh wonder of the nature”. A walk along the promenade around the lake is also traditional and beautiful – you do not need professional tourist equipment for the walk. You will meet runners, parents with strollers, school trips or locals who still enjoy the magic of this place here.
