It is one of the most visited places in the High Tatras. Strba tarn is the highest placed Tatra settlement; therefore, it is the starting point of many hiking trails. The tarn itself is the second largest in the High Tatras. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that only here you can indulge in an experience with more than 130 years of tradition. Boating on its surface is very popular especially in the summer months, until autumn, while the weather is favourable.
This place also competed for the title of “Seventh Wonder of the World”. Equally traditional and beautiful is a walk along the promenade around the lake. You do not even need professional hiking boots for this walk. You will meet runners, mums and dads with prams, students on a school trip, or locals who still enjoy the charm of this place.
